If Tech finishes inside the top 15 in the final recruiting rankings we'll talk.

    Re: VT football camp

Here are their last 5 classes

    2002 45th
    2003 27th
    2004 41st
    2005 14th
    2006 32nd

I'd expect them to finish in the 20's this year.

on another note, 30% of UVA's recruiting class didnt make it through admissions. They are ncaa elgible but not uva elgible. Its almost like getting put on probation when you lose that many players in one signing year.

and then realize they also lost 3 starters on defense to being kicked off the team...it should be an interesting year in charlottesville

    That sucks for UVA...

FSU didn't have that problem this year, all but three are on campus including Marcus Ball.

The ones that haven't made it are
    1. WR - Brent Brewer, Drafted by Milwaukee Brewers in the 2nd round 60th overall pick. Said he had a "million reasons" to play baseball instead of College Football.

    2. TE - Brandon Warren, not qualified, taking summer classes to improve GPA all signs point to him being on Campus at the end of July.

    3. LB - Tim Rawlinson, same situation as Warren.

Sounds like a real problem at Alcoa. UT got Dustin Lindsey and he's going to Coffeyville. Rae Sykes the DE from their this year, who most people says is better than Warren, is probably not even going to be able to play this season due to his grades. That has got to be the dumbest bunch of football players from one school in history. 3 D1 athletes and none of them are going to be eligible.

    Re: VT football camp

the ones for VT who didnt make it were

Olufemi Ajiboye - prepping at Hargrave

Mike Gee - transferred high schools midway through his freshman year and Don Bosco doesn't send out transcripts for half a year...so he has to get that worked out

Melvin Alaeze - currently tending to a list of things he and his family must do in order for him to be admitted to VT, bt he won't be at VT before Jan '07 if he completes the tasks at all

Well you can knock Warren of FSU's list of guys that didn't make it, he recieved the test score he needed today. Warren will be on campus this weekend and will start workouts next week.

    Re: VT football camp

it's helped a lot, and it didn't hurt that we won the conference the first year we were in it as well as winning our division this past year

the thing about recruiting rankings is that you take a look at those numbers and youd think tech would finish around 30th in the polls on the football field each year, but yet we prob avg around 12-18 each year...says something about talent evaluation
